CD Cover

As this was our artists debut album we decided on the album title 'I'm Ready Now'. We decided on this name as it denotes that she is now ready to start competing in music industry. Our original image was a colour close up of our artist. One of the main reasons for this is that it will get her face out into the world and people will start to recognise her face ith her music, increasing her star persona. We edited our original CD Cover image in Photoshop adding a black and white effect onto the whole image. We also added a 'lipstick' effect onto the artists eyes so that they were in colour against the balck and white image. This helps draw people in to the CD Cover and gives them a focal point for them to look at. With the background, we distorted it using a blur tool, again on photoshop, which made our artist stand out more clearly so people could clearly see it. We have placed the artists name in the bottom thrid of the album cover as it is her first album and she is not yet famous enough to be noticed and recognised from just her face. The font and colour of the artists name is a common running theme through our CD Cover, CD Backing and Tour Poster. We decided on this colour as it matches the mood of her music aswell as her personality. We also thought that if people were seeing her name in the same way each time it is more likely to stick in their heads. We chose a simple, basic font and colour for the album title as we did not want it to be to over the top and thought that this could also mirror her music as it is quite basic, with just her vocals an acoustic guitar, and the odd percussion instrument.
